(Plan now to get your boat lighting designed for the Lighted Boat Parade on Sunday night, 9/2/18. Meet us at the cove where Stumpy’s is before dark. We’ll lead the parade to the Pearl St bridge and back to City Beach.)

Buoyed by the success of other events added in the past few years, the Historic Granbury Merchants Association is sponsoring another fun family Festival  – Labor Day Lake Fest 2018!  The Festival will run Saturday, Sunday, Monday September 1 – 3.  Designed to be great fun for both visitors and locals alike, this  Festival promises to be a great way to celebrate the end of Summer and to Kick-off  Fall! 
Vendors will be selling items on the Square and of course all the shops around the square are bristling with signs about great Labor Day SALES!  The shops will all be running extended hours Friday thru Monday, and the Vendors will be open Saturday 10 to 8 and Sunday 10 to 6. Monday 10-5. There will be Kids Games, Food, a Petting Zoo, and more!
On Saturday and Sunday afternoons, there will also be fantastic music entertainment on the city stage on the Square.  On Saturday afternoon from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. you can grab a bite and have a seat or keep right on shopping as you listen to the great sounds of (Band To Be Announced) will fill the Square!  
Sunday afternoon enjoy (Band To Be Announced) on the Main Stage from 2pm – 4pm.
If shopping and music just aren’t your thing- if you’re more into boats and water and things that swim – Lake Granbury beckons, with a whole weekend of fun activities that will be right up your alley!  A Fishing Tournament is being organized for Saturday and sponsored by one of our locals contact Brenda Hyde at HGMA at 682-936-4550 for information and details.  
Also on the city beach will be all the usual water activities – kayak’s and tubes etc., rent a bicycle, stand up waterboard, or even a surrey to ride to the square or to the parks.  On Sunday Night at 8 p.m. there’s going to be a sight to behold- a lighted boat parade on Lake Granbury.  Again – Brenda is the gal to contact about getting YOUR boat involved in this fun addition to Granbury’s outstanding parade filled tradition!   
And LAST BUT CERTAINLY NOT LEAST- We’re gonna have a FISH FRY!!!  It’s gonna be HUGE!!!  Sponsored by Brookshire’s Grocery, this food filled extravaganza is going to be held on Saturday, September 1st, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.  On the Square.  There’s gonna be FISH- LOTS OF FISH- and hot dogs and fixings like Brookshire’s award winning beans, fries and slaw.  So make your Saturday plans to accommodate a trip down to the square to eat your fill for only $8
