APRIL 26-27  GRANBURY WINE WALK

It’s time to sip and savor on authentic Texas wines! This one-of-a-kind event is a huge hit in Granbury, so mark your calendars for the 10th Annual Wine Walk, April 26-27, 2019!

Wine-lovers from all over flock to Granbury year-round for the wine in the area (we have four wineries in the county!), but the Wine Walk is a special event in itself where dozens of wineries head to the Historic Granbury Square.

The event kicks off Friday, April 26 and again, Saturday, April 27. Wine Walkers can enjoy live local music at clusters of booths, each cluster offering Texas flavors in wine, food and art. The community gets into the spirit, as well!

The celebration begins with the prominent VIP “Sip & Savor” Event on Thursday evening, April 25. The VIP typically sells out! Attendees enjoy a taste of Texas with hors d’oeuvres from North Texas’ favorite celebrity chefs paired with carefully selected wines from wineries at the Wine Walk.

The Granbury Wine Walk is a non-profit event benefiting local charities.

MAY 25-27 A GRANBURY SALUTE – MEMORIAL WEEKEND

Spend Memorial Weekend in Granbury for a patriotic weekend to remember. The weekend honors those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country, and also kicks off the summer season in Granbury.

The patriotic festival, taking place May 25-27 on the Historic Granbury Square, will feature family activities, arts and craft booths, food vendors, patriotic live music, vintage military vehicles, hot dog eating contest, a pie baking contest, activities for the entire family, and so much more.

Make your way to Granbury to see a field with thousands of tall American flags waving proudly on Highway 377. The Greater Granbury Chapter of MOAA and its partners: American Legion Post 491, Blue Star Mothers, Marine Corps League and the Granbury Brigade put on the Field of Flags each year. Each flag is dedicated to a hero or group who have given the ultimate sacrifice.

In keeping with the importance of the holiday, a traditional Memorial Day ceremony will take place to remember the heroes lost and honor those still with us. While in town, visitors can also stop by the Granbury Memorial Lane located just off the Historic Granbury Square.

 

GRANBURY’S OLD FASHIONED 4TH OF JULY

Granbury’s Fourth of July celebrations are always unforgettable. Thousands flock to Granbury to take part in the small town festivities and celebrate all things America.

The parade around the Historic Granbury Square, the vendors, the iconic Lake Granbury and a top-rated firework show to finish it all off, all make for a memorable Fourth of July for the entire family.

SEPTEMBER 1 LIGHTED BOAT PARADE

Kick off Labor Day weekend and wrap up another beautiful summer on Lake Granbury with the Lighted Boat Parade.

This new tradition continues to grow every year, and it’s worth the watch! Dozens of boats travel from bridge to bridge for this beautiful spectacle. 

Have your own boat? Gather at Stumpy’s to join the parade! For more information on Labor Day festivities, contact the Historic Granbury Merchants Association. 

The 2019 Parade is scheduled for Sunday September 1st on Lake Granbury at nightfall.

 

OCTOBER 11-13 OKTOBERFEST IN GRANBURY

Ketzler’s Schnitzelhaus & Biergarten brings this traditional German festival right to the heart of Granbury, Texas on October 11-13, 2019.

Head to the Historic Granbury Square to experience German fare, food, music, vendors and drinks, of course! This festival grows year after year. Plan that Granbury getaway you’ve been thinking of right around the annual Oktoberfest. 

 

OCTOBER 19-20  HARVEST MOON FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS

Granbury is bursting with vibrant artists and talent throughout the community. The Historic Granbury Square is an easy drive from the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and is a popular destination for day trips and weekend getaways, so it is the perfect location for the Harvest Moon Festival of the Arts.

This family friendly art festival will be held on the paved area around the charming Historic Granbury Square in the heart of the historic district. This year’s festival will be held October 19-20, 2019.

The 40th annual Harvest Moon Festival event is put on by both the Historic Granbury Merchants Association and the Granbury Arts Alliance. This long running festival showcases over 80 artists, makers and craftspeople. You’ll find to food, local entertainment and seasonal activities and all surrounded by the most vibrant historic square in Texas.

This unique festival is always a hit! Grab your friends and head to Granbury this October for your getaway.
